Eryk R. Escobar earned his B.A. in Rhetoric from the University of California in 2008 and his law degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2011. Today, Mr. Escobar’s practice focuses on consumer chapter 7 bankruptcy and debt settlement.
His practice is dedicated to helping individuals with debt relief. Additionally, Mr. Escobar is a Staff Attorney in the Unaccompanied Children Representation Project at CARECEN. Prior to starting his own consumer practice and joining CARECEN, Mr. Escobar practiced complex civil and insolvency litigation at Bienert, Miller & Katzman in San Clemente, CA.
There, Mr. Escobar represented clients in non-dischargeability and discharge objection adversary proceedings. Mr. Escobar also represented plaintiffs in multi-million dollar mortgage fraud actions. Mr. Escobar continues to do contract work for Bienert, Miller & Katzman.
Before joining Bienert, Miller & Katzman, Mr. Escobar was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Maureen A. Tighe of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California.
While in law school, Mr. Escobar worked as a judicial extern to the Hon. Maureen A. Tighe and Hon. Victoria S. Kaufman, a law intern at Alfaro & Associates, APLC, and a summer law intern at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center’s Legal Department.
