Evan Andrew Gould

Mr. Gould represents both plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation matters with an emphasis in serious personal injury matters, employment litigation, elder abuse and injury claims, and financial negligence and fraud cases. He is also experienced in a variety of civil litigation matters including child injuries, products liability, contracts, construction, defamation, insurance coverage and  bad faith.

Mr. Gould also has experience in matters involving professional malpractice including claims against doctors, hospitals, dentists, financial advisors, design professionals, accountants as well as other lawyers.

Mr. Gould also serves as both a private Mediator and Arbitrator. He is currently on the approved panel of mediators and arbitrators of the San Diego Superior Court. Mr. Gould  serves as a Mediator for the Keybridge Foundation, a mediation provider to the U.S. Department of Justice in cases involving alleged violations of the A.D.A. Mr. Gould is also a Arbitrator and Mediator with FINRA, (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, formerly N.A.S.D.) the largest independent regulator of securities firms in the United States.

Mr. Gould graduated from San Diego State University in 1984 and California Western School of Law in 1987. While at California Western, Mr. Gould served as a Staff Writer and Notes and Comments Editor for the California Western Law Review and International Law Journal. Mr. Gould was also active in the California Western Moot Court Competition and mentoring programs. He continues to offer his time to mentor those pursuing the legal field.

In his early years following law school, Mr. Gould worked for several law firms whose major emphasis was the representation of doctors and hospitals and the defense of medical malpractice claims. Thereafter, Mr. Gould spent seven years with a major insurance defense firm based in Los Angeles where he represented insured homeowners, automobile owners and business owners. Mr. Gould also represented several self-insured grocers and retailers. Through this experience, Mr. Gould gained a valuable insight into the insurance industry claims process and has defense experience that few Plaintiff advocates possess.

Mr. Gould has also advised a wide range of business clients on day-to-day issues unique to the running of their business and helping to insure compliance with industry-specific laws. Mr. Gould’s has represented clients from industries including  food and beverage, hospitality, entertainment, construction, health care, media and communications, real estate, product development, technology, and the legal field to name a few.

Mr. Gould has assisted his business clients with matters of business development, business formation, contract preparation, collections, employer-employee issues, the development and implementation of policies and procedures, as well as their litigation needs.

Mr. Gould has lectured before various groups in San Diego and Southern California concerning fundamentals of civil litigation and the benefits and procedures relating to arbitration, mediation and other types of Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Mr. Gould is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of the State of California and the United States District Court, Southern and Central Districts. Mr. Gould is also licensed to practice in the State of Colorado and is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego.
