Evelyn Yiqun Zhao focuses her practice on patent prosecution and counseling in the areas of mechanical devices, electronics, and software. Evelyn worked with the firm as a summer associate in 2015 in the Shanghai, China office and in 2016 in the Denver, Colorado office.
Previously, she was a patent technical advisor in the Denver office of an international law firm where she conducted patent searches, drafted patentability and validity memoranda, and maintained client patent portfolios.
Evelyn was also a patent analyst at an intellectual property law firm based in Osaka, Japan where she was involved in prosecuting patent applications filed in the U.S., Europe, China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.
While attending law school, Evelyn was Senior Staff Editor of the Denver Law Review.
She was a research assistant at the University of Toronto where she focused on improving the performance of thin film organic light emitting devices and a research assistant at Tsinghua University in Beijing where she worked on nanosphere lithography processes for fabricating high density magnetic storage devices.
Evelyn’s native language is Chinese.
