
Faith G. Miller is one of Westchester County’s preeminent matrimonial and family law attorneys, having represented adults and children for 35 years. She is a senior partner of the White Plains firm Miller Zeiderman & Wiederkehr, LLP, which since its founding in 2013, has rapidly become one of the largest matrimonial and family law practice groups in Westchester.
Faith Miller provides legal counsel across the broad spectrum of issues, ranging from equitable distribution, support, and the myriad of financial issues confronting divorcing couples to domestic violence and child custody, abuse and neglect.
In addition to advocating for clients and children in court, she helps clients avoid the expense and emotional toll of litigation through her role as a New York court-recognized family law mediator and through her collaborative law training.
Faith Miller began her legal career as a law assistant to Hon. Joseph F. Gagliardi, then the Administrative Judge for New York State’s Ninth Judicial District, covering Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess and Orange Counties.
She subsequently served for several years as an assistant county attorney in the Westchester County Attorney Family Court Bureau where she presented complex and difficult cases involving child abuse and neglect.
Since 1985, she has been engaged in the representation of private clients, though she continues to be appointed by trial court judges to represent children as a member of the Attorneys for Children panel of the Appellate Division, Second Department.
During her extensive career, she has represented clients in hundreds of contested cases in the matrimonial and family courts in Manhattan and in Westchester, Rockland, Putnam and Orange Counties. She has also served as appellate counsel on appeals to the Appellate Divisions for both the First and Second Departments.
In addition to her legal practice, Faith Miller has served on numerous court and bar committees, including the Ninth Judicial District’s Gender Fairness Committee, is Treasurer of the Westchester Chapter of the Justice Brandeis Law Society, and was a founding member of the Westchester County Law Guardian Association.
She is a member of the Family Law Sections of both the New York State and Westchester County Bar Associations and has participated as a lecturer and panelist in continuing legal education programs.
Faith Miller, recognized in 2010, as a Super Lawyer by the New York Law Journal, obtained her legal education at Fordham University School of Law and at the State University of New York, Buffalo Law School, which awarded her a Juris Doctor degree in 1980. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University, where she studied Near Eastern languages and literature.
