Faith Mitton is a skilled corporate and real estate attorney serving clients in NYC’s 5 Boroughs. She diligently supports her clients in crafting & implementing well-designed legal strategies to protect  themselves as they grow their businesses.

She became a lawyer to provide entrepreneurs with a better legal experience because, for most people, the prospect of hiring a lawyer conjures up really unpleasant thoughts. But Faith’s goal is to make the process of getting legal help as simple, stress-free, and transparent as possible.

Her clients include entrepreneurs in the real estate industry, such as investors, property management companies, property preservation companies, contractors, cleaning companies, and much more. Faith focuses on the real estate industry because she is passionate supporter of economic development in urban communities , particularly among people of color, and she believes real estate is a powerful tool of wealth creation.

Faith is also an enthusiastic and sought-after speaker. One of her greatest joys is to simplify legal concepts so that entrepreneurs can easily grasp the knowledge they need to protect themselves. Her presentations have covered a wide variety of topics, including, but not limited to, choosing the right business structure, commercial leasing basics, and intellectual property protections, and she has taught at in-person events, via online virtual summits, and as a guest on several podcasts.

A God-fearing, Bible-Believing woman, Faith is married and resides with her husband just outside of New York City. When she’s not practicing law, you can typically find her enjoying long walks in nature, tackling a complex jigsaw puzzle to keep her mind sharp, or watching silly animal videos on YouTube.

She is a summa cum laude graduate of Howard University, where she earned a Bachelors degree in Sociology. She received her law degree from Harvard Law School and is licensed to practice law in the State of New York. Faith has worked in a variety of legal settings – from a large law firm, to various nonprofit providers of legal services, and as in-house counsel – but she has derived greatest fulfillment in working for herself as Managing Attorney of Mitton Law Firm, PLLC.
