Foss Gilbert Hodges

Foss Gilbert Hodges represents people accused of serious crimes throughout Georgia, partnering with the best investigators, consultants, and experts in the field. Foss is a compassionate counselor who guides his clients through their darkest moments, and a passionate advocate who believes there is no substitute for hard work.

Foss joined Peters, Rubin & Sheffield after graduating cum laude from Mercer University Law School. Prior to becoming an Associate, Foss interned with the firm, helping prepare the “Dunwoody Daycare Murder” case for trial. He also interned with the Federal Defenders of the Middle District of Georgia, and with the Macon Circuit Public Defender office, where he represented nearly 100 clients in Felony Probation Revocation proceedings.

Before law school, Foss earned a B.A. in English and an M.B.A., with honors, from the University of Georgia.  He also spent 15 years in various upper management positions in residential construction, manufacturing, human resources, and quality assurance.

In 2014, Foss graduated from the Bill Daniel Trial Advocacy Program, an intensive trial skills workshop offered by the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (“GACDL”). Foss actively participates in GACDL as a Sustaining Member, and as co-editor of the organization’s newsletter, The Georgia Defender. He’s also a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (“NACDL”), and the Appellate Practice and Criminal Defense sections of the State Bar of Georgia.

Since joining Peters, Rubin, & Sheffield, Foss has helped clients all over Georgia fight allegations of Child Molestation, “Shaken Baby Syndrome,” Murder, Rape, Sexual Battery, Computer Sex Crimes, Child Pornography, Aggravated Stalking, Felony Drugs, DUI, and various Misdemeanors.

Foss loves what he does. He cares deeply about his clients, and works hard every day to investigate, understand, and communicate their stories to prosecutors, judges, and juries across the state.
