Frank Weedon is an attorney Board Certified in Workers’ Compensation Law, a certification held by less than one hundred attorneys in Texas. Frank is licensed to practice law in all Texas courts, as well as the Eastern and Southern Districts of the United States District Court. Frank is also a multi-lines insurance adjuster, licensed in Mississippi, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arizona and Texas.
Frank attended Kilgore Junior College before receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1993. Frank obtained his law degree from South Texas College of Law in 1998, while working full time as an insurance adjuster attending classes at night.
Frank began working in the insurance claims industry in January 1991. He worked his way up from a file room clerk to a catastrophic workers’ compensation adjuster, who investigated complex industrial injury claims. After graduating from law school, Frank worked as a civil defense lawyer.
He represented large corporations and most of the major Texas insurers. In 2002, Frank began representing wrongful death and personal injury victims in East Texas and proudly continues to do so today.
Frank has special competence in industrial and work-related injuries and has handled thousands of such claims as an adjuster and attorney. He is OSHA certified and SafeLand Drilling Certified by the Petroleum Education Council. Frank taught insurance adjusters how to handle claims as an approved provider through the Texas Department of Insurance.
Frank is widely recognized as an expert in insurance claims handling tactics and has testified as an expert witness approximately ninety times in federal and state courts in Texas, Oklahoma and Arizona. Frank frequently lectures and speaks to bar associations, and has twice testified before the Texas Legislature on behalf of injured workers.
Frank is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice.
Frank was born in Austin, Texas in 1967. He is a proud Longview Lobo, having attended elementary, middle and high school in Longview, Texas. Frank is active in his church, serving on various boards and committees. He and his wife are the parents of three daughters and one granddaughter.
