Fred Bass

Fred Bass is a partner at Holland & Knight and a member of the firm’s Aircraft and Equipment Finance Group. He has extensive experience in a wide range of asset-based financings, including the financing and leasing of aircraft, renewable energy facilities, rail cars, satellites, vessels, manufacturing plants and infrastructure assets, as well as a variety of structured finance and cross-border transactions.

Mr. Bass has considerable experience in domestic and cross-border transactions involving airlines and aircraft and other transportation equipment, including secured loans, operating and leveraged leases, export credit agency supported financings, purchases and sales of new and used aircraft, enhanced equipment trust certificate offerings, pre-delivery deposit facilities, transactions with credit enhancements and manufacturer support arrangements, like-kind exchanges, and bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy restructurings.

His practice also encompasses secured and unsecured lending, debt trading, project financings, letters of credit and guarantees, business entity formation, joint ventures, equipment leasing, acquisitions and dispositions of finance companies and portfolios of financial instruments, and remedies, restructurings and workouts.

Mr. Bass was recently honored by the New York State Bar Association as an Empire State Counsel for providing pro bono legal services.
