Frederick C. Millett practices patent litigation, IP diligence, and counseling with a focus on biotechnology, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. Prior to law school, Fred worked as a research chemist at Pleotint, LLC, a small company in West Michigan, where he assisted in developing thermochromic office glass technology.
Fred has experience litigating patent infringement cases arising under the Hatch-Waxman Act and has particular experience in litigating drugs for treating HIV/AIDS. He has handled all aspects of litigation on behalf of several pharmaceutical industry leaders.
He has also led IP investigations of pipeline and marketed products, start-ups, and large corporations for acquisitions and transactions of all sizes.
While in law school, Fred worked as an intern at the Southern Center for Human Rights in Atlanta, Georgia, where, among other things, he worked on the Supreme Court case, Snyder v. Louisiana, 552 U.S. 472 (2008). Fred’s dedication to pro bono service continues today.
He was the recipient of an award from The Legal Aid Society in 2015 and 2016 for outstanding pro bono service.
