Garrett McIntyre is an experienced civil litigation and business attorney. His areas of concentration include commercial and business litigation, real estate litigation, real estate and corporate transactional law, and construction law.
He has also practiced in the areas of general liability defense, premises liability, vehicle negligence, commercial trucking accident defense, wrongful death, issues of coverage, and first and third party casualty losses.
Garrett was born in Sebring, Florida and is a seventh generation Floridian. In 2010, he graduated magna cum laude from Bryan College with a Bachelor of Science degree, Honors in Political Science, and a minor in History.
While at Bryan College, Garrett was an active member of the Student Government Association, where served as the Senior Vice President, and was recognized on the Dean’s List during all four years of his attendance. He then attended Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida, where he was conferred a Juris Doctor in 2013.
During his time in law school he served as a summer judicial intern for Chief Judge J. David Langford of the 10th Judicial Circuit of Florida and participated in the Florida Supreme Court Certified Legal Internship (CLI) program.
Some of his academic memberships and honors include member of the Business Law Society; member of the Criminal Law Society; member of the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Law Student Division, and recipient of a CALI Award (“Book Award”).
After graduation from law school, Garrett began his legal practice as a civil litigator based in Weston, Florida. There he concentrated his practice in the areas of general civil litigation, business law, real estate law, and appeals.
Garrett also has experience as a trial attorney and attended numerous jury trials during his practice in Weston. Garrett then joined the firm of Vernis & Bowling of Miami, to focus his practice in the areas of general insurance defense litigation as well as first and third party property and casualty claims, and construction defect litigation.
In his spare time, Garrett enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, traveling with his wife, cooking, and supporting his favorite college football team, the Florida State Seminoles.
