Geoffrey Hainbach is an associate in Baker McKenzie’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group in Washington, DC. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Hainbach worked as a paralegal and as a law clerk with several other law firms, as well as with the US Securities and Exchange Commission and US Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
During law school, he served as a judicial intern for The Honorable Vanessa L. Bryant, US District Court for the District of Connecticut, and as a student lawyer in The George Washington University Law School’s Public Justice Advocacy Clinic where he advocated on behalf of clients with employment law matters pending in the DC courts.
Mr. Hainbach represents clients with respect to securities law compliance, corporate governance matters and the negotiation of commercial contracts. Mr. Hainbach also has experience providing counsel on domestic and cross-border transactions for US publicly-traded multinational corporations.
He regularly represents clients in the planning and implementation of global reorganization transactions for multinational corporations, including tax planning restructurings and spin-off transactions involving more than 40 jurisdictions worldwide.
