George E. Bowles has been trying cases for over 30 years and has represented both plaintiffs and defendants, individuals and Fortune 100 corporations, during his career in the courtroom.

George concentrates his practice in complex business-related litigation including securities, intellectual property, construction, lender liability, real estate, banking, fraud, eminent domain, tortious interference with business relations, fiduciary liability, patent infringement and breach of contract.

Prior to joining the firm, George was a Law Clerk for the Supreme Court of Texas. George has been Board Certified by the State Bar of Texas in Civil Trial Law since 1982 and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, serving on the Complex Litigation Committee of the College, and a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers.

Additionally, he is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, serving as the 2012 President for the Dallas Chapter and on the National Board of Directors. In 2013, George was honored as a Trial Legend by the Dallas Bar Association’s Tort and Insurance Practice Sections.

In addition to representing clients in numerous business dispute arbitrations, George has served on the Large Case Panel of Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association since 1996. George is a Master of the Court of the Patrick E. Higginbotham Inn of Court and a frequent speaker at bar association meetings on a variety of issues relating to litigation.

  • Defended major Wall Street investment banking firm in a securities fraud class action suit arising out of the sale of over $300 million of real estate limited partnerships
  • Defended Texas County Mutual Insurance Company in class actions totaling over $50 million in controversy, arising out of the sale of collateral protection and automobile insurance involving over $100 million in premiums
  • Prosecuted rights of Air Force pilot shot down over Bosnia against major motion picture studio and television conglomerate in a First Amendment & False Advertising dispute arising out of the movie “Behind Enemy Lines”
  • Prosecuted rights of small medical device firm against a major pharmaceutical company for fraud and breach of contract and achieved a settlement during trial of in excess of $18 million for the client
  • Defended national insurance holding company and subsidiary in a wrongful discharge claim by former high-level executive
  • Prosecuted rights of international construction company against rapid transit authority for $10 million in delays and cost overruns for construction of light rail system
