Akerman LLP

Gerard Wimberly’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on government contracts law. Having served as a council member of the ABA’s Section of Public Contracts law, and continuing to serve as co-chair of the Section’s Division of State & Local Procurement law, Gerard maintains an active leadership role in developments in all aspects of public contracting.

Gerard has experience in all aspects of government contracts law and has handled numerous state and federal bid protests as well as contract claims. Gerard is experienced in False Claims Act cases, state and federal, and has served as lead counsel for major companies in recent actions.
