Gina Ameci is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Law Section and a second-term member of the firm’s Board of Directors. She provides legal and practical counsel to assist executives, managers and HR professionals in diverse industries in making day-to-day human resource decisions. Her emphasis is on risk management – preventing problems and minimizing legal fees.
Gina is HR-911. Clients call her for employee/former employee emergencies of all kinds, and they receive a quick and practical response. Gina is well-versed in multiple aspects of labor and employment law and litigation, so clients trust not only the legal, but also the practical side of solving their problems, whether litigation related or routine. In fact, clients find Gina to be among the most responsive lawyers they have worked with – if not the most responsive. She listens, she is always there for them, and they trust her judgment.
With more than 35 years of experience in government, corporate and private practice, Gina brings a unique, multiple-perspective to labor and employment issues. Her experience includes serving as an attorney for the U.S. Department of Labor and as legal counsel/manager of employee relations for Harrah’s Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.
Gina has an in-depth knowledge of the gaming industry, having worked for casinos in both Atlantic City and Las Vegas, where Gina resided for more than six years. Gina also has extensive experience working with clients in the health care industry as well as those providing health-care related services. Gina also routinely has worked with various manufacturers, involving consumer goods and otherwise, and has focused knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
Because Gina has been a litigator, as well as an in-house counselor, she fully understands the inside/outside counsel relationship and the needs of her clients as she prepares them for litigation while working to avoid it if possible. Her comprehensive representation always considers clients’ interests first, whether in traditional litigation forums or through alternative dispute resolution such as arbitration and mediation, with a focus on minimizing legal costs while achieving the desired outcome.
