
Mr. Glenn I. Becker is senior counsel in the Real Estate Practice Group of Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Chicago office. He possesses a wide range of experience in representing institutions, utility companies, rail carriers, universities, developers and national and regional retailers respecting all of their real estate needs.
His practice has included: acquisitions and dispositions of shopping centers, office buildings, warehouses and undeveloped properties; large-scale property acquisitions; sale and leaseback financings; synthetic lease financings; drafting and negotiating office, retail and industrial leases, purchase and sale agreements, options, ground leases, shopping center reciprocal easement agreements, railroad and utility easement agreements, and annexation agreements; and zoning and land use matters.
In addition, Mr. Becker has advised clients, including power generation and wind power companies, on various real estate, leasing, easement, and zoning issues related to the development and siting of new facilities. He has also served as real estate tax exemption counsel to several local universities.
