
Grace L. Pan is a registered patent attorney who represents clients from U.S., Japan, Taiwan, China. She is experienced enforcing defending patents, trademarks, trade dress before Patent Trademark Office (USPTO), International Trade Commission (ITC), various District Courts, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in manufacturing, medical equipment, biotechnology, organic chemistry, electronic, semiconductor, mechanical, and related technical fields.
Grace has broad experience in all phases of Japanese litigation both before the Tokyo District Courts and the Intellectual Property High Court. She defends foreign patents in Japan and Taiwan, and argues before trial examiners at the Japan Patent Office, Intellectual Property High Court, and Taiwan Taipei District Court.
Grace is also admitted as a Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi, a registered foreign lawyer in Japan, is a member of the Daini Bengoshi Kai, the Tokyo Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in Taiwan as a registered foreign lawyer and member of the Taipei Bar Association.
Grace’s practice also includes counseling clients in licensing, freedom-to-operate opinions, and assists clients with various contract negotiations including contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), contract manufacturing organization (CMO), and contract research organization (CRO). She assists clients in obtaining, defending, and licensing patents, copyrights, trademarks and domain name applications, including those involving Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) proceedings.
Prior to joining the firm, Grace was a partner in the New York City office of an international law firm where she was an intellectual property counselor and litigator.
Grace is annually recognized by Chambers Global as a Leading Lawyer for Intellectual Property in Japan, Taiwan, and the U.S. She is a sought-after speaker and writer on a broad range of issues impacting clients.
