Grant W. Nichols specializes in government investigations, independent investigations, and complex white-collar criminal defense matters. A partner in our Special Matters and Investigations practice, Grant defends individuals and multinational companies in a variety of their most sensitive matters, including internal investigations and investigations by federal and state government authorities.
Grant counsels clients facing government investigations across the globe. He advises individuals and corporations in criminal and regulatory matters, including investigations conducted by various divisions of the Department of Justice, the U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as by state agencies, state attorneys general, and investigative committees of the U.S. Congress.
Grant has particular experience in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance and investigations, criminal tax matters, data security incident response, fraud investigations, False Claims Act matters, and more. He also handles white-collar criminal litigation, independent investigations, and the development of compliance programs.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Grant worked for the Department of Justice as a Special Assistant to the Attorney General, and for the White House Counsel’s Office as Executive Assistant to the Deputy Counsel.
