Hadeel Abouhasira focuses her practice on business immigration matters and advises clients in connection with their business and individual immigration issues. She assists clients, including those exploring foreign direct investment (FDI) opportunities in the U.S., with the cross-border movement of personnel and staffing needs and assists clients with obtaining nonimmigrant visas, such as H-1Bs, L-1As, L-1Bs, Blanket L-1s, TNs, E-2s, E-3s, etc.

She also assists clients in obtaining U.S. permanent residence through employment-based green cards or through family relationships. Hadeel represents clients in I-9 audits conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and she uses her knowledge and experience in immigration and employment law to counsel clients on a variety of I-9 issues.

In the community, she serves on the state board of directors for the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities and as the membership chair on the board of YWCA Richmond’s Young Women’s Leadership Alliance.

Hadeel received her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she served as the assistant development editor for the Virginia Journal of Criminal Law. While in law school, she worked extensively with various organizations providing pro bono legal services, such as the Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights (CAIR) Coalition and the Legal Aid Justice Center in Charlottesville, where she assisted young individuals in obtaining relief from deportation through DACA or by filing for asylum, T-visas, or U-visas.

She received an award for completing the University of Virginia School of Law’s 75-hour pro bono challenge. Hadeel received her Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy, magna cum laude, from Virginia Commonwealth University. While at VCU, she was president of the Pre-Law Society. Hadeel previously worked at Williams Mullen as a summer associate in 2014, where she worked on business immigration matters, general employment matters and general litigation.
