Haitao Zhang is a member of the Corporate and Financial Services practice groups, focusing his practice on capital market transactions, mergers and acquisitions, debt financings, corporate governance, securities law compliance and other regulatory matters.
Haitao has substantial international experience representing clients on various capital market transactions, including Rule 144A/Regulation S equity and bond offerings, as well as US public offerings by non-US private issuers.
Prior to entering private practice, Haitao clerked for The Honorable Thomas L. Ludington at the 42nd Circuit Court in Michigan until Judge Ludington was appointed to the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. In addition, he had two appellate level externships including one at the chambers of the Honorable Richard F. Suhrheinrich with the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Haitao was a certified securities professional engaged in the areas of investment consulting, trading and brokerage at a leading securities firm in China before going to law school. He received his master degree from Guanghua School of Management at Peking University, where he focused his study on investment and stock market.
