
Henry M. Sackett III is a litigator, mediator, and arbitrator with more than four decades of experience in these legal fields. He has litigated matters pertaining to medical malpractice defense, legal malpractice, personal injury, product liability, condemnation, contracts, construction, and real estate.
Henry is a fourth-generation Lynchburg lawyer. He joined the predecessor of the Edmunds & Williams law firm in 1968 and became a member of Woods Rogers when Edmunds & Williams merged with Woods Rogers in October 2016.
While in law school at the University of Virginia, he was named to the Order of the Coif, was a member of Phi Alpha Delta, and served on the editorial board of the Virginia Law Review. After graduating, he clerked for one of the justices of the Virginia Supreme Court in 1967 and 1968.
Active in national, state and local bar organizations, he is most proud of his service as the Chairman of the Character and Fitness Committee of the Virginia Board of Bar Examiners. Henry is a Fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation.
