
Honore Hishamunda is an associate in the Labor & Employment Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Atlanta office. Mr. Hishamunda represents companies of all sizes in employment related matters in both state and federal courts. His practice includes counseling and representing clients on a wide range of employment issues including federal, state, and local non-discrimination laws, wage and hour, reductions in force, work authorization and background checks, as well as employment and independent contractor classification.
Mr. Hishamunda also assists clients in drafting and litigating employment related documents such as employment and independent contractor agreements, non-compete agreements and other restrictive covenants, workplace handbooks and policies, as well as severance agreements.
He also regularly counsels companies, including private equity funds and lenders / borrowers, on employment matters relating to buying and selling companies as well as other corporate change in control matters. This representation includes conducting due diligence and risk assessment, as well as counseling on work force integration issues.
Mr. Hishamunda, as an immigrant himself, has a strong interest in providing pro bono services to immigrants looking to establish a life in the United States. He previously represented a non-profit organization dedicated to providing transition services from tutoring to after school activities for recently arrived immigrant children.
In addition to his work with the immigrant community, Mr. Hishamunda remains active with his alma mater as he serves on Auburn University’s Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs Leadership Council. Mr. Hishamunda is conversational in Spanish.
