Howard F. Dworman moved to Arizona from Metro-Detroit in 2011. While in Michigan I earned a Bacherlor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Western Michigan University.
After earning my degree I worked for nearly five years as a Parole/Probation Officer for the Michigan Department of Corrections. Upon moving to Phoenix I worked as an Adult Probation Officer for the Maricopa County Adult Probation Department for just over two years.
In the Fall of 2013 I enrolled, full time, in Law School at Arizona Summit Law School. My background includes Criminal and Civil law. I chose to diversify my experience by completeing numerous internships at various law firms, as well as practicing under ARS rule 38 as a limiting practicing law student.
As a rule 38 student I prosecuted for the Avondale, Tolleson, and Buckeye municipal courts. I also practiced as a rule 38 student in criminal defense during my final year of law school. My legal career began as I continued working with a private criminal defense firm, with Joe and Rae Chornenky.
I moved into plaintiff’s personal injury, then to the Arizona Attorney General’s office. It was with the Attorney General’s office that I discovered my passion for criminal law was strong and that is where I belonged. I re-entered the criminal law field as a criminal defense attorney for the Maricopa County Public Defender’s office in July, 2017.
