Hunter G. Norton is considered an expert in his field focusing his practice on business, construction, and civil litigation. Renowned as a determined oral advocate who can speak to the court, he counsels his clients on all phases of the litigation process, including:

Prior to beginning his legal career, Hunter was a non-commissioned officer in the United States Air Force. As an advanced intelligence briefer, Hunter researched, drafted, prepared, and delivered intelligence briefings to high-level officials, in addition to serving as an intelligence analyst and linguist.
He later worked with a private company as a project manager responsible for the analysis and assessment of communication systems while authoring detailed intelligence training manuals. Both of these experiences have helped Hunter develop a working knowledge of the investigative and strategic thought processes associated with litigation and dispute resolution.

- McCann Holdings, Ltd. v. VOTT-A, LLC., et al. Case No. 2011-CA-003897-NC (Circuit Court in and for Sarasota County)Defended multiple corporate defendants and successfully convinced trial judge to overturn $20 million jury verdict in favor of plaintiff. Successfully affirmed on appeal.
- Foxfire Properties, LLV v. Foxfire Owners Ass’n, Inc., Case No. 2D08-3381 (Second District of Florida)Represented owner of golf course who was sued for violating restrictive covenant by failing to operate a golf course. Successfully argued to Second District Court of Appeal that while the covenant restricted the property’s usage to a golf course, it did not affirmatively require that a golf course be operated on the property.
- Sharff v. MGM Investment Properties, LLC., Case No. 2012-CA-003981-NC (Circuit Court in and for Sarasota County)Defended client sued for fraud. Successfully obtained summary judgment for client by arguing that fraud claim was legally precluded based upon “no reliance” clause contained within contract.
- Protective Life Ins. Co. v. Sharon Ann Walker, Case No. 8:09-cv-363-T-17EAJ (Middle District of Florida)Prosecuted claim on behalf of client as beneficiary of ex-husband’s life insurance proceeds and successfully made full recovery for client on summary judgment.
