During law school, Hyla served as Recent Developments Editor for the Administrative Law Review and represented Afghani women seeking asylum through her internship at Hogar Hispano in Falls Church, Virginia.
She represented pro bono family members of 9/11 victims seeking to extend their stays in the U.S. and prepared appeal for the Board of Immigration Appeals following the denial of a Jamaican teenager’s asylum case in Immigration Court.
