J. Eric Mattingly is a senior associate in the Financial Services & Products Group and is a member of the firm’s REIT team. He represents REITs and other alternative investment products in matters related to their formation, public securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, ongoing securities law compliance and corporate governance.
Eric clerked for the Honorable Gerald Bard Tjoflat of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Duke University School of Law and was elected to the Order of the Coif.
While at Duke, Eric served as a member of the Duke Law Journaleditorial board and as treasurer of the school’s moot court program. Prior to law school, Eric received his B.S. in cellular biology and his B.A. in Spanish from the University of Georgia.
