J. Shane Cox
Shane Cox is a founding Member of Jurist Law Group. Shane’s practice encompasses a broad range of legal matters with particular emphasis in the areas of asset recovery, bankruptcy, and collections. Before joining Jurist Law Group, he worked at Mackie Wolf Zientz & Mann, P.C. where he focused his practice on judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, evictions, and bankruptcy law.
He has also represented clients in other areas of the law including estate planning, intellectual property, contract disputes, and collection matters.
Shane attended and graduated from the William H. Bowen School of Law while simultaneously working as a full time law clerk. Before entering law school, Shane worked in the mental health profession while attending college.
He received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe where he graduated with honors. Shane is an active member of his church and participates in community-oriented events. He is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and Debtor-Creditor Bar of Central Arkansas.
He is licensed to practice law in the State of Arkansas, U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Western and Northern Districts of Texas. Shane is also an adjunct professor at the William H. Bowen School of law.
