Jacquelynn Carmichael has been practicing law since 1993 and is a partner at Eisenberg, Gilchrist & Cutt. Ms. Carmichael has recovered millions of dollars in damages for her clients, including a jury verdict in a medical malpractice case of 14.5 million dollars.
Jackie has litigated cases involving injuries and wrongful deaths arising from bicycle accidents, auto accidents, defective products and medical malpractice. Ms. Carmichael says, “as a personal injury attorney, I am passionate about helping people who have been injured by the negligence of others.
It is impossible to erase a devastating injury, but when I am able to provide an injured client with resources that will improve the quality of their lives and provide options for them that they would not otherwise have, I feel a measure of success.”
As an avid cyclist, Jackie is particularly interested in helping fellow cyclists when they are injured. Eisenberg, Gilchrist & Cutt has represented many cyclists whose injuries have arisen from a variety of causes including failed tires and other defective bicycle parts as well as drivers who have carelessly crashed into cyclists causing serious injury and in some cases death.
With regard to representing cyclists, Jackie commented, “the attorneys at EGC are very aware of the safety concerns that face cyclists in the Salt Lake Valley, and we enjoy advocating for and representing cyclists in a variety of capacities.”
In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Carmichael is also actively involved in the Women’s Law Caucus and serves on the Character and Fitness Committee for the Utah State Bar.
