Jaime is the firm’s bankruptcy expert. He excels in helping people through tough and stressful situations using bankruptcy. His other practices areas include divorce, paternity and custody, as well as general civil litigation, will and estate work and contract disputes and drafting.
Jaime became a lawyer because he likes working with people and problem solving. Most clients who meet with him immediately like his demeanor and attitude which helps them feel comfortable during some of the most situations of their lives.
Before venturing to law school and becoming a lawyer, Jaime had a previous career in real estate development and finance. His father is a founding member of Richards & Godfrey, PC., growing up around the practice of law, coupled with his diverse prior business experience, puts Jaime in a unique position to understand how the law and the real world work.
Jaime grew up in Ogden, attended Ogden High School and graduated from Weber State University before attending Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas. Jaime’s greatest pride and joy are his family, which now includes five children. Jaime is an avid golfer and CrossFitter, he loves spending time outside playing with his family.
