James B. Danford Jr. is a Litigation & Dispute Resolution associate in Mayer Brown’s Houston office. His practice focuses on civil litigation in state and federal courts, mediation and arbitration. James’ practice also includes a considerable commitment to pro bono matters.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown, James worked for the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on the Judiciary and the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. His policy experience on Capitol Hill encompassed a wide range of sectors from energy and environment, to immigration, to research and technology.
James received his JD from the Georgetown University Law Center and his BA in Political Science from Texas Tech University. While in law school, James served as the Senior Executive Editor for the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics, Student Bar Association Vice President, Global Teaching Fellow, and as a Law Fellow for the Legal Research and Writing program.
