James Quail is an associate in King & Spalding’s Trial Practice and Global disputes group, with a practice focusing on toxic and environmental torts and commercial litigation. He has experience advising clients in state and federal court concerning breach of contract, breach of warranty, business torts, products liability, and copyright disputes.
James has taken matters independently from the filing of claims through successful judgment at municipal and state court. He also has experience arguing in state and federal court, has defended multiple depositions in toxic-tort related matters, and recently defended an international construction company as part of a three-attorney team in a multi-million dollar arbitration. James is a 2016 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law and joined the firm in 2018.
Understanding the importance of pro bono work, James has worked with Children at Risk and the Harris County Attorney’s office to combat human trafficking in Houston through Project AWESOME—Attorneys Working to End Sexually-Oriented Massage Establishments. He also has experience representing minor immigrant children through work with KIND—Kids in Need of Defense, on asylum and related matters.
