James Warner Kirby

James is Steve and Margaret’s nephew and recent graduate of law school. Kirbys Law has always been a family firm and James will continue that pattern. James grew up a multisport athlete including playing football, basketball, and volleyball in High School. The lifetime of competitive sports fostered a competitive edge and desire to use all of his tools to beat his opponents.

James grew up riding on the back of his dad’s motorcycle and has experienced life on 2 wheels from California to South Dakota and California to Alaska. Having grown up around motorcycles, James has an appreciation for the culture and difficulties that are unique to the motorcycle lifestyle.

James graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a double major in 2009 and followed up with a law school degree from Golden Gate University in 2014 where he won the Paul S. Jordan Award for service and contribution to the school.

Steve and Margaret have taken James under their wing and he is taking advantage of the wealth of knowledge and experience at Kirbys Law. James works on all aspects of our cases from signing up clients to pre-trial litigation, and is being taught trial work directly from Steve.
