Jamie Robertson is a Partner in the Finance, Banking and Real Estate Department of Locke Lord LLP. His practice involves the representation of banks and other financial institutions in a variety of syndicated and unsyndicated financing, mortgage and other financial asset transactions.He also represents domestic and foreign companies in various types of commercial real estate transactions.
Jamie has substantial experience in structuring and negotiating warehouse lines, mortgage warehousing repurchase agreements and securities contracts structured to fit within bankruptcy safe harbors and other financing structures, as well as purchases and sales involving residential and commercial mortgage assets, mortgage servicing rights and receivables, REO and government guaranteed loans.
His structuring and documentation of mortgage industry transactions was effective to shield Locke Lord’s institutional client groups he advised from the massive losses that others suffered in the industry meltdown that started in 2007.
Jamie’s commercial real estate experience includes underground water rights acquisitions, sales and leases, large farm and ranch, timberland, retail and industrial property acquisitions and sales, pipeline easement grants and acquisitions, surface use agreements and land development, finance, leasing, purchase and sale and exchange transactions.
He also counsels the world’s largest nonprofit medical center in interpreting and applying its comprehensive restrictive covenants limiting use of medical center land to nonprofit purposes, and in other real estate matters.
Jamie’s real estate and finance law qualifications and experience have earned him positions on the boards of a nonprofit and a public company.
