Jamie Simons has represented clients in Northern and Central Florida, but her appreciation for the law and desire to assist families in need began as a child when she worked in her father’s family law firm as a file clerk.
Jamie learned from watching her father the importance of listening to her clients and asking the right questions to truly understand their needs. It is the foundation upon which she has built her legal career.
Jamie Simons graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida, with a Juris Doctor in May of 2007. Since that time, she has been an active member of the American Trial Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association.
Prior to graduating in 2007, she graduated from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, in 2003, with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education with a concentration in child development. While an undergrad, she was on the Dean’s List and Honor Role.
Ms. Simons has 10 years of litigation experience. From 2007 to 2014, Ms. Simons has solely practiced family law in Jacksonville, Florida. In 2014, Ms. Simons moved to Tampa and was an assistant attorney general.
While at the attorney general’s office, Ms. Simons represented the state of Florida in protecting abused, abandoned or neglected children. Three years later, Ms. Simons has returned to her first love in life, family law.
Ms. Simons is a member of the Florida Bar and has been a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, Jacksonville Family Law Inns of Court and Jacksonville’s Women’s Lawyer’s Association. To her clients, Ms. Simons is known to be a competent and compassionate advocate, while in the courtroom she has earned the reputation of a highly skilled and aggressive litigator.
