Hampton Injury Law was founded by attorney Jan Hoen. Mr. Hoen has significant experience in civil personal injury cases, which include automobile distracted driving and negligence, worker’s injury and compensation, and medical injury and malpractice. Mr. Hoen then went on to attend law school at the University of Richmond, and graduated in 1989. After graduating from law school, he worked as Law Clerk to Chief Justice Lawrence L. Koontz, Jr. on the Court of Appeals of Virginia.
From 1990 to present day, Mr. Hoen has been in the private practice of law in the state of Virginia. He began his career in private practice in Leesburg and Fairfax. He then moved to the Virginia Beach area and has practiced in Hampton Roads since that time. Since 1995, Mr. Hoen has gained great experience and knowledge in trying many cases to verdict throughout Virginia and the Hampton Roads region.
He has also been successful at arguing and pursuing cases on appeal to the Virginia Supreme Court and the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has been a successful trial attorney throughout his entire career.
Mr. Hoen has been licensed since 1989 by the Virginia State Bar to practice in the courts of the Commonwealth. In 1993, he was admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
He is currently a member of: The American Association for Justice, the Virginia Worker’s Compensation American Inn of Court, the American Society of Legal Advocates, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Virginia Beach Bar Association, the Norfolk and Portsmouth Bar Association, the Hampton Bar Association, and the Newport News Bar Association.
