Janine M. Becker, originally from Rockland County New York, moved to Connecticut in 1991 after receiving her jurist doctorate from Pace University School of Law. She is licensed to practice in the State Courts and Federal Court of Connecticut, including the United States District Court of Connecticut.
She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the Bridgeport Bar Association, currently serving as Vice President. She volunteers her time for Connecticut Legal Services and for the Court Foreclosure Volunteer Attorneys.
Attorney Becker has been engaged in the general practice of law in Connecticut since 1991. She has conducted jury trials, courtside trials and has argued before the appellate court. In addition, she frequently appears before the workers compensation commission and in the bankruptcy courts protecting her clients’ interests.
Her legal expertise and experience covers most areas of law that affect the average person including real estate, g landlord/tenant law, estate planning, business planning, bankruptcy, foreclosures, accident cases and work-related injuries.
Attorney Becker, who currently resides in Trumbull, enjoys spending her free time with her husband and their three daughters. She has been involved in the Bridgeport School mentoring program, a former Girl Scout leader and a religious education instructor. The Beckers enjoy spending the winter months on the mountains of Southern Vermont and enjoy the summer on the Rhode Island Coast.
