
Jared English focuses his practice on civil rights and criminal enforcement matters. Much of his work centers on government and internal corporate investigations. Dr. English has represented major multi-national corporations in complex civil and criminal investigations in state court, as well as before the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Dr. English has represented clients on issues including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and DOJ civil rights pattern or practice investigations of US police departments. He has also worked on sensitive internal investigations into a wide variety of financial and other matters for clients in the United States, Asia and the Middle East.
Dr. English also has an active pro bono practice. He has participated in an international program—funded by the US Department of State and DOJ—in Nairobi, Kenya, that brought together a team of US, UK and Kenyan judges and lawyers to train 150 Kenyan, Ugandan and Tanzanian judges and prosecutors on how to fight wildlife poaching, terrorism and money laundering.
