Jasmine W. Wetherell focuses her law practice on commercial and business litigation. She has experience assisting clients in a wide range of matters, including breach of contract disputes, fraudulent/voidable transfer litigation, creditor-side bankruptcy litigation, environmental litigation, insurance coverage disputes, and various immigration issues. Jasmine has represented clients before state, federal and bankruptcy courts, as well as before government agencies, mediators and court-appointed special masters.
Prior to joining Buchanan, Jasmine was an associate at a boutique litigation firm in downtown Los Angeles specializing in real estate, environmental and commercial matters. During law school, Jasmine served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Harry Pregerson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and also served as editor-in-chief of the UCLA Women’s Law Journal.
Jasmine’s top priority in any client relationship is ensuring that she fully understands the significance of the matter to the client. Whether the client’s goal is to win at any cost, or to resolve the matter as quickly as possible and move on, Jasmine always tries to ask the right questions to understand her clients’ motivations and objectives.
By actively listening to clients and colleagues, Jasmine is able to collaborate effectively on strategy, deploy the right resources for the desired outcome, adjust or adapt as needed, and, most importantly, provide cost-effective service to her clients.
