
Jason Yale Gans, a member of Baram, Tapper & Gans, LLC, has dedicated his practice to Immigration and Nationality Law for more than thirty-five years. He served as the former Chief Legal Officer, former Chief of the Nationality Section, and former General Attorney for the United States Department of Justice, The Legacy Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) at Hartford, Connecticut from 1973 to 1985.
Jason represents both public and private companies in immigration matters, providing the legal counsel necessary for them to secure highly specialized personnel required for their businesses as well as advising them in cases of employer sanctions. His representation of individuals includes family reunification, naturalization and citizenship matters.
A frequent lecturer in the area of employment based immigration law and family immigration law, Jason’s lectures and seminars provide important information to area businesses and families on these rapidly changing and complex areas of immigration law.
He received his B. A. degree from the University of Michigan in 1965 and his L.L.B. degree from Boston College Law School in 1968. He is admitted to the Bar in both Connecticut and Massachusetts
