Jay A. Ebelhar, a shareholder in the Memphis office, concentrates his practice dually in the areas of employment law and the financial services industry. With respect to his employment practice, Mr. Ebelhar provides counsel to businesses on day-to-day decisions implicating the ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA and Title VII of the Federal Civil Rights Act, while also representing employers in a variety of judicial and/or administrative matters.
Mr. Ebelhar’s work in the financial services industry primarily focuses on the defense of mortgage lending and servicing claims involving issues such as wrongful foreclosure, predatory lending, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Truth in Lending Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Ebelhar was a judicial clerk for the Honorable Holly M. Kirby of the Tennessee Court of Appeals.
