Jeb Burton is the managing principle of The Burton Law Firm. He received his Juris Doctorate, (Doctorate of Law,) from King Hall at the University of California, Davis.
He accomplished his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, and is admitted to practice law in the State of California, and a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the State Bar of California.
Jeb serves as a member of the American Bar Association and the California State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association, and a variety of sections within that organization as well as serving as Past Chair of the Tax Section.
Jeb is involved in a number of other organizations dealing with Estate, Tax and Business Law, including: President of the Sacramento Estate Planning Council (SEPC); Wealth Counsel, where he serves as the Northern California Forum Leader; Vistage and a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Jeb’s legal career is focused in the areas of Estate Planning, Tax and Business Law. He is specifically knowledgeable and experienced in the areas of Advanced Estate and Tax (both domestic and international) Planning, Entity Structure and Governance, Exit Planning, Asset Protection, as well as Business Succession, or Legacy Planning.
While he prides himself on staying on top of cutting-edge Estate Planning, Business and Tax Techniques, he is conservative at heart and always puts his client’s interests ahead of his desire to pioneer.
Jeb enthusiastically volunteers his time to non-profit groups and local government. He is the past Chair of and First District Commissioner for the Yolo County Planning Commission and is the incoming Chair of the West Sacramento Chamber of Commerce.
