Jefferson Klocke works with clients to address complex insurance and employment matters, including workers’ compensation claims, coverage disputes, bad faith defense, and labor and employment disputes before the National Labor Relations Board. He also advises clients on contract disputes and state and local taxation issues.
Jefferson is active in Steptoe’s pro bono program. He handled trial preparation for a Section 1983 case in which the client alleged excessive force that violated his constitutional rights, and helped minor refugees from Latin America to obtain Special Immigrant Juvenile Status in the United States.
While jointly pursuing his JD and MBA, Jefferson provided legal counsel to four business start-ups through the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship. He advised the start-ups on formation, entity, taxation, equity, and financing issues. He also worked as a consultant to help local businesses analyze and solve a variety of problems through the Eller Business Consulting Program.
