Jeffrey Dutson

Jeffrey R. Dutson is a financial restructuring partner in King & Spalding’s Atlanta office, with a focus on representing lenders and agents in connection with large commercial workouts and restructurings.

Jeff has also represented debtors and other investors in a variety of Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and insolvency matters. Jeff frequently represents institutional senior-secured lenders in syndicated credit facilities, with particular experience in the restaurant, healthcare, energy, transportation, manufacturing, and media industries.

Jeff is a fellow of the American College of Investment Counsel and a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Turnaround Management Association. Jeff frequently speaks and has published a variety of articles on restructuring and insolvency issues.

Jeff has served on the board for the NextGen Turnaround Management Association (Atlanta), and he he is a member of the firm’s Atlanta office hiring committee.

Jeff is a graduate of the University of Chicago where he earned his law degree, with honors. He obtained a bachelor’s degree, with honors, from the University of Georgia. Prior to joining the firm, Jeff served as a law clerk for the Honorable E. Grady Jolly of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
