
Jeffrey (Jeff) S. Gundersen is a partner and intellectual property lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP and vice chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. He provides counsel relating to patent acquisition and enforcement, product design, patent infringement matters, licensing, and transactions.
In addition to the preparation of intellectual property agreements, patent opinions, and transactional due diligence opinions, he also counsels multi-national companies regarding global patent prosecution strategies. Jeff worked as a nuclear engineer for an energy company for several years before attending law school.
Education :
Jeff graduated from the University of Wisconsin as a Distinguished Scholar in the top 10 percent of his College of Engineering class with a Bachelor of Science degree in nuclear engineering in 1992.
He is a member of the Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Honor Society. The University of Wisconsin awarded Jeff two Master of Science degrees in 1993, one in medical physics and a second in nuclear engineering and engineering physics. Jeff graduated from Marquette University Law School, summa cum laude, in 2000.
