Jeffrey L. Harris is the Managing Partner of Harris Family Law Group. He is a prominent and well-respected Los Angeles and Orange County Family Law Attorney who represents clients in all aspects of divorce – including child support, visitation and custody, spousal support, division of property, domestic violence and restraining order, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
Working exclusively in family law, Mr. Harris provides a wide-range of legal services in the area of Family Law, including divorce litigation and mediation, dispute resolution, post-judgment modifications for custody, visitation, and support agreements, as well as obtaining or contesting temporary restraining orders (TROs). The family law attorney is a veteran and highly skilled settlement negotiator and will provide such services at Requests for Order hearings, trials and depositions.
Mr. Harris provides counsel to couples with highly intricate business or financial affairs, helping parties work towards an fair allocation of community assets, business shares, debts and concerns – whether they seek a legal separation or divorce.
Prior to Mr. Harris’s graduation from Southwestern Law School where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2010, he served as a Law Clerk for the Los Angeles District Attorneys Office (Public Integrity Division), United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC West Coast Mediation and Alternate Dispute Resolution Department), and served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Barry Russell at the U.S. Central Bankruptcy Court, Los Angeles Division. While at Southwestern he earned numerous scholarships at Southwestern, served as the American Bar Association’s Law Student Division Representative, the Director of Student Affairs & board position of Secretary for the Student Bar Association.
Post-graduation and after passing the California Bar Exam, Mr. Harris traveled to Kosrae, Federated States of Micronesia (FSM)( where he served the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court as Legal Counsel. While in the FSM, he created a Mediation Program on a state and federal level, helped find funding for the mediation program, and trained local attorneys and individuals as mediators. Though this attorney left FSM at the end of his contract, prior to leaving, he was nominated and appointed as Attorney General for the State of Kosrae.
He is a member of the Beverly Hills, Los Angeles County, and California Bar Association, as well attends and networks with attorneys, judges, and mediators at a number of other associations in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas.
