
Jen Schroeder counsels clients with respect to patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and general intellectual property matters. She prepares and prosecutes patent applications in a variety of technology areas, including the computer software, telecommunications, medical device, chemical and mechanical arts. Jen has also worked on post-grant proceedings, including inter partes review proceedings.
In her practice, Jen performs offensive and defensive analyses, provides patentability and freedom to operate opinions, conducts due diligence analyses of IP portfolios, evaluates patent cross-licensing opportunities and assists with IP litigation matters. She also counsels clients with respect to licensing, acquisition and confidentiality agreements.
During law school, Jen interned at the University of Kansas Center for Technology Commercialization, where she reviewed and drafted licensing agreements, conducted market research and performed prior art searches. Prior to law school, she worked as a project analyst for a supply chain and logistics solutions company in Orlando, Florida.
