Jennie Silk is a litigation associate in Baker Donelson’s Memphis office. As a member of the Advocacy Department, Ms. Silk assists clients in complex litigation. Her experience includes representing a large municipality and its police department in a high-profile civil rights case that went to trial in August 2018, where she successfully cross examined hostile witnesses.

Additionally, Ms. Silk represents two large school districts in a multi-billion dollar lawsuit challenging the state’s educational funding system. She also represents various other businesses including general contractors, pharmacies, and broker-dealers.

Ms. Silk also recently obtained a withholding of removal relief for a Honduran family under the Hague Convention Against Torture. More information here. In addition to her law practice, Ms. Silk is an avid runner who has completed dozens of marathons, including the Boston Marathon eight times (and counting).

When she is not working or running, Ms. Silk enjoys spending time with her husband, who just returned from a seven-month deployment in the middle east, and the couple’s two-year-old son, James Michael.
