Jennifer Santoro works to aggressively and proactively resolve complex workers’ compensation matters for insurers, third-party administrators, and clients in a diverse range of industries, including construction, transportation, commercial distribution, employment agencies, food processing, medical organizations, and more.
Her extensive experience in Illinois includes appearances before Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission review panels and in the state’s circuit and appellate courts. She also resolves matters through arbitration.
Clients seek Jennifer’s counsel for her top-to-bottom, hands-on approach to handling workers’ compensation claims, which helps minimize risk, lends clarity to the litigation process, and ultimately results in cost-effective case management and closure.
At intake, Jennifer performs a thorough investigation, then works directly with the client to create a tailored litigation strategy — that evolves and adapts as matters progress — to best suit their individual needs.
Jennifer is also well-equipped to help clients deal with Medicare compliance, which has become an increasing concern that complicates all aspects of litigation management. She is experienced in conditional payment issues, mandatory insurer reporting under Section 111, analyzing the need for Medicare Set-Aside (MSAs) arrangements, and the preparation of those MSAs. Jennifer is a Medicare Set-Aside Consultant, certified through the International Commission on Health Care Certification.
Jennifer is a frequent author and lecturer on issues pertaining to workers’ compensation claims and Medicare compliance best practices.
