Jennifer Halbleib is an associate in the technology transactions practice at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati’s Palo Alto office. She represents therapeutics, medical device, diagnostic, and other life sciences and technology clients in intellectual property and business transactions, including licensing, collaboration, development, clinical trial, manufacturing, supply, and sponsored research agreements.
Prior to joining the firm, Jennifer was a member of the intellectual property litigation and Supreme Court and appellate practices in the Washington, D.C., office of Latham & Watkins, where she represented clients in inter partes review proceedings, at trial, and on appeal at the Federal Circuit and Supreme Court.
She has litigated licensing and infringement disputes involving pharmaceuticals, biotech devices, sensor technologies, and consumer electronics. Her clients have included AbbVie, Apple, Cadence Pharmaceuticals, CrossMatch Technologies, Medivation, Prometheus Labs, and the Biotechnology Industry Organization.
Following law school, Jennifer clerked for Judge Edith Brown Clement of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in New Orleans. While attending law school, she served as an extern at the Department of Justice in the Civil Appellate Division.
Previously, Jennifer was a postdoctoral scholar in Nicole King’s lab at UC Berkeley, where she investigated the origins of animal multicellularity. During her doctoral studies at Stanford University, she researched genomic reprogramming during epithelial cell polarization in W. James Nelson’s lab.
