
Jennifer J. John is a litigator who has a general practice representing both private and public companies in a variety of commercial and intellectual property litigation matters. Ms. John was previously a summer associate at the firm.
Prior to joining WilmerHale, she was a litigation summer associate at another firm in Washington DC, where she researched and wrote memoranda regarding commercial, antitrust and international trade compliance issues.
While attending Harvard Law School, Ms. John, as a member of the Harvard Mediation Program, trained as a mediator and mediated cases in state district courts in Massachusetts.
As a member of the Harvard Negotiation and Mediation Clinical Program, Ms. John, in conjunction with a team of law students, completed a project with the Community Relations Service of the Department of Justice evaluating its dispute resolution system and strategies for conflict resolution. As the captain of the Harvard Black Law Students Association, Ms. John led a team of law students in litigating mock trials in front of lawyers and judges.
While attending the University of Maryland, Ms. John served as a teaching assistant for the University of Maryland, Summer Mock Trial Program and as a Community Advocate with the University Student Judiciary.
In that capacity, Ms. John assisted complaining parties in various types of disciplinary council hearings. For these hearings, Ms. John prepared case strategy, performed opening and closing statements, assisted professors and students during questioning and recommended sanctions to hearing panels.
