Jennifer Miller was born in Youngstown, Ohio and was raised in Fairhope, Alabama. She received her B.A. in 1997 from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, and earned her law degree from the University of Memphis School of Law in 2001.
At Memphis, Jennifer was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for Civil Procedure III, and was selected for the school’s National Moot Court Team in 1999. In addition, Jennifer and her partner won the school’s Advanced Moot Court Competition in 2000; Jennifer was awarded Best Oral Advocate.
She also served as a staff member of the University of Memphis Law Review from 1999 through 2001. Her case note, regarding a Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility Ethics Opinion, was published by the law review in Volume 31, book no. 2. In 2000, Jennifer had the honor of serving as an intern for the Honorable Bernice B. Donald, United States District Court Judge for the Western District of Tennessee.
